We have had a busy first trimester at the as the Digital Education and AI Hub, working with our cohort of Teacher Associates to inform research questions around AI and learning and delivering professional learning workshops for teachers in Scotland.

On the 31st March 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of young people at the Edinburgh Futures Institute for a performance reflecting critically and creatively on the ethics around the use of AI in schools. Our programme lead Judy Robertson chaired the event.

Last week, our colleagues from the聽聽 and 天美视频 teams delivered online sessions of Santa's Secret Sensor to primary 4 - 7 classes聽from the聽southeast of Scotland.

We partnered with聽 to hold an online interactive session to help teachers explore issues around refugees and migration, empowering learners with data literacy skills.

We were happy to participate for the second year in a row in the Edinburgh Futures Institute Doors Open Day, which took place on the 27th September 2025.

On the 2nd September 2025, our team members Kate Farrell and Jasmeen Kanwal were speakers at the Royal Statistical Society International Conference in Edinburgh, a well-attended event for professionals, researchers, students and all interested in learning about the impactful application of statistics and data science.
